According to statistical data from the Chamber, Oman's trade exports through the certificates of origin it issued during the same period of the current year amounted to 1.188 billion dinars, compared to 984 million dinars for the same period last year.

The data obtained by the Jordan News Agency (Petra) showed that the number of certificates of origin issued by Oman's trade during the same period amounted to 34,558 certificates compared to 31,133 certificates in the same period last year, an increase of 11 percent.

A certificate of origin is a document used in international trade to certify that the goods in a particular shipment were produced, manufactured, or processed in a specific country, and is used by customs to determine the eligibility of goods for tariff purposes and to verify the country of origin of those goods.

It should be noted that the Chamber of Commerce of Oman issues certificates of origin for Jordanian raw agricultural, animal, and natural resources, for foreign goods that are re-exported, and for foreign goods purchased from the local market under specific conditions.

It also issues certificates of origin for Jordanian industrial products upon request, based on the original factory invoice certified by an industrial chamber and an original and certified certificate of origin issued by an industrial chamber, proving that the goods are of Jordanian origin, based on the provisions of Article (29) of the Jordanian Chambers of Commerce Law No. (45) of 2009 and the Instructions for Issuing Certificates of Origin of 2013.
