The U-15 national team concluded its friendly matches against its Palestinian counterpart as part of its domestic camp held in preparation for participating in the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival 2026.
The national team won the first match 2-1, while the two teams drew 2-2 in the second match, before the national team renewed its victory in the third match 2-0, while the fourth match ended in a goalless draw.
These matches come within the team's preparatory program, led by coach Mohammed Abdulraouf, with the aim of preparing the players and giving them the opportunity to play closely spaced matches during the day, simulating the competition system in the global tournament.
The U-15 national team delegation departs for Azerbaijan on Wednesday, while the tournament competitions take place from the 22nd to the 31st of this month, under the 8x8 system.
The national team squad includes 14 players, who are: Mohammed Al-Sayed, Kenan Hammoudeh, Abdulrahman Khairallah, Amer Al-Zoubi, Ayham Al-Oraidi, Hashem Abdulhalim, Khaled Al-Khalidi, Laith Sariya, Majd Abu Gouda, Waleed Al-Zoubi, Wissam Khalawi, Ziad Thiabat, Jamal Al-Khoraysheh, and Zein Al-Din Abu Al-Shaar.
The national team kicks off its matches by facing Cyprus at 1:30 PM on October 24th Jordan time, while it meets Nigeria at 11:45 AM, and South Sudan at 6:30 PM on the 25th of the same month.
The national team concludes its matches in the first round by facing Pakistan at 10:30 AM, and Gambia at 5:15 PM on October 26th.
The tournament is held in two stages, starting with the qualification stage during which the teams play matches in a league format, before moving to the tournament stage, where the results and standings of the first stage determine the path of each team, and teams with similar standings meet in the next stage.
The competitions continue in a cross-knockout system, such that winning teams meet each other and losing teams meet each other, without any team being eliminated from the competition, leading to placement matches in each level. If any match ends in a draw, penalty shootouts are resorted to directly without extra time.
FIFA had revealed the launch of the inaugural edition of the FIFA U-15 World Cup, inviting all 211 member national associations to participate in the tournament, which aims to bring together more than 4,000 children in a global football festival.
