The Strategic Threat Source for Jordan

In my personal opinion, the matter goes beyond choosing a firm tone in the context of the international occasion to something deeper, which has matured nationally over the past period, and concerns the diagnosis of the occupying state and the sources of danger and strategic threat to Jordan.

It has been proven that the rise of the far right in Israel is not a temporary phenomenon, but a structural transformation that has been reflected not only in Israeli policy towards the Palestinians and the occupied territories, but also towards the peoples and countries of the region and the world. It is something that, in its consequences, resembles the rise of Nazism in Germany.

His Majesty explicitly pointed to the nature of the current Israeli leadership and its expansionist ambitions, stating that it 'has become a regional threat'.

His Majesty warned that the world's choice to do nothing led to Israel's continued aggression, expansion, and occupation of new Arab lands, along with the ongoing commission of crimes of genocide without fear of punishment.

This policy of ignoring, tolerating, and turning a blind eye is reminiscent of Europe's tolerance of Nazism until it was too late, and the world, along with it, fell into the abyss of World War. Netanyahu spoke boastfully about changing the face of the entire Middle East! And his latest achievement has drawn Trump into war with Iran, while continuing the rampage, killing, and aggression in Gaza, the West Bank, Syria, and Lebanon.

His Majesty said: 'We will not turn away, but we will protect our security, our water, and the interests of our people'.

We are accustomed to His Majesty dedicating most of his speeches on international platforms to supporting the Palestinian cause and the rights of its people, condemning the occupation and its crimes, and rejecting the conditions for a just and lasting peace. But in his latest speech to the international community, he went further, warning against the failure to take deterrent punitive measures.

In diagnosing their security, countries identify sources of threat as either temporary or secondary, or strategic. Jordan faces several sources of threat, either situational or secondary, but today we are convinced that the current Israel is the source of strategic threat to Jordan, and on this basis, our positions, relations, and policies are built.
