Spain Stuns England with a Hat-trick in London in the UEFA Nations League

The Spanish national football team extended their unbeaten streak to 39 consecutive matches, after achieving an exciting 3-2 victory over host England on Saturday at Wembley Stadium in London, as part of the first round of the UEFA Nations League.

The match started quickly, as Lamine Yamal gave Spain an early lead in the second minute, capitalizing on an error by English defender Marc Guehi, shooting the ball into the far post and into the net.

In the eighth minute, the referee canceled a goal for Spain, scored by Ferran Torres with a header after a cross from his Paris Saint-Germain teammate Fabian Ruiz inside the penalty area, due to offside.

Spain almost extended their lead on several occasions, but Ferran Torres missed two dangerous chances in front of the goal, both of which were saved by goalkeeper James Trafford.

England managed to return to the match in the 36th minute, as Anthony Gordon scored the equalizer from a pass by Jude Bellingham, before the hosts turned the score around with Harry Kane scoring the second goal in the 40th minute, following a pass from Nico Oreilly.

In the second half, Kane missed a chance to extend the lead for the hosts after failing to convert a penalty into a goal in the 54th minute, following a foul on Bellingham by Rodri, and England quickly paid the price.

Substitute Alex Baena equalized for Spain in the 60th minute, before another substitute, Mikel Oyarzabal, added the third goal in the 74th minute, maintaining the visitors' lead until the final whistle.

With this victory, Spain raised their tally to 3 points at the top of Group 3 of the first-level teams, ahead on goal difference over Croatia, while the English team remained without points.

In the other match in the same group, Croatia defeated the Czech Republic with a 2-1 score.

Croatia opened the scoring through Luka Modric in the 47th minute, before Adam Karabec equalized for the Czechs in the 54th minute, and Marko Pašalic secured the match for the visitors with a second goal in the 77th minute.

In the first group of the second-level teams, the Swiss national team started their journey with a big away win over host North Macedonia with three goals without a response.

Switzerland's hat-trick was scored by Remo Freuler and Mohamed Zaki El Amdouni (two goals) in the 22nd, 41st, and 74th minutes, earning the Swiss team their first 3 points and topping the group.

In the second match, Slovenia and Scotland drew goalless, earning each one point.
