The Royal Institute for Interfaith Studies affirmed that the attack targeting Hamoud Church in Karak Governorate constitutes an infringement on the human and moral values that unite peoples, and on the principles based on respecting religions and upholding human dignity.
In a statement today, Friday, the Institute said that such attacks underscore the importance of protecting societal peace, consolidating a culture of dialogue, and adhering to the values of fraternity and solidarity, which form a firm foundation for the unity and cohesion of Jordanians.
It added that Jordan has established throughout its history a model of religious fraternity and coexistence, and that diversity is a source of enrichment for society, while respecting beliefs and safeguarding sanctities remains a shared responsibility, and the cohesion and solidarity of Jordanians remain among the most important pillars of the nation's security and stability.
It expressed its solidarity with the injured and the families of the victims, praying to God to grant the injured a speedy recovery, to protect Jordan and its people, and to perpetuate the blessing of security and stability upon it.
