Under the organizational sponsorship of the Qatari Lebanese Dental Medical Complex, the healthcare sector in Qatar is preparing to host the large international conference and exhibition titled "Save It or Replace It: Advanced Endodontics vs. Modern Implantology" in Doha,
which will begin in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Thursday morning, September 24, 2026, at Sharq Village & Spa Hotel (Ritz-Carlton), and will continue until Friday evening, September 25, 2026. This prominent scientific event is led and chaired by its organizing committee and scientific committees by
Dr. Asaad Saad, a dentist and the originator of the conference idea, who directly oversees the formulation of the academic and clinical agenda and the selection of its topics with precision to ensure the provision of a real qualitative addition to the dental sector in Qatar and the region.
The conference stems from a clear strategic vision aimed at helping dentists make the right clinical decision and accurate criteria in complex cases, relying on scientific evidence and interactive critical discussions, as the conference completely deviates from the traditional nature of medical conferences; it focuses on launching strong and enthusiastic scientific debates directly between endodontists and implantologists. The goal is to break the traditional pattern and present opposing viewpoints face-to-face to the audience.
Honoring the First Qatari Dentist
The conference honors Dr. Saad Saeed Al-Kuwari, the first Qatari dentist, in recognition of his distinguished pioneering efforts, and he took over his duties in Qatar government hospitals in October/November 1979. He later served as the Director of Dental Health at Hamad Medical Corporation. His early research efforts to develop the dental services sector and advanced scientific studies on the future of this specialty in Qatar should be noted.
A global elite of speakers
The conference attracts an exceptional elite of international and local consultants and renowned speakers in various dental specialties (including endodontics, implantology, dental prosthetics, and periodontics) to exchange clinical experiences and review the latest treatment methods, making it an ideal destination for doctors seeking excellence and improving the quality of treatment services provided to patients, including:

The dilemma of clinical selection and the importance of accurate decision-making
The conference essentially addresses the biggest and most pressing challenge facing a dentist in their daily practice: which is more suitable according to the patient's condition? Is it better to preserve the natural tooth and treat its advanced roots or resort to extracting and replacing the tooth with dental implants?
From here, the conference works to guide doctors and specialists towards making the most appropriate and safest clinical decision in complex and critical cases, based on precise scientific criteria based on evidence, a comprehensive assessment of the surrounding biological conditions, the cost of treatment, and the long-term prognosis of the tooth versus the implant.
An intensive scientific program and a medical exhibition for medical innovations The conference is officially accredited as a Category 1 group educational activity, subject to approval by the Ministry of Public Health in Qatar - Accreditation Department, with a maximum of 13.75 accredited hours. Its events span two days filled with sessions and debates:
Day 1 (Thursday, September 24, 2026): Focuses on advanced diagnostic and treatment planning topics, the biological anatomy of the roots, and the use of modern radiological techniques such as 3D imaging (CBCT) to predict the success of nerve treatment, in addition to detailed discussion sessions on diagnostic factors for evaluating the situation.
Day 2 (Friday, September 25, 2026): Moves to the procedural arena and precise technical skills; it discusses the management of periapical lesions, the accuracy of immediate and delayed implants, prosthetic techniques for protecting implants and teeth, and the role of soft and hard tissues, culminating in major debate sessions (The Great Debate) that bring together experts to assess whether root canal treatment is always a better investment in the long term compared to routine implants.
Specialized medical exhibition: In addition to the rich scientific program, the conference is accompanied by a specialized medical exhibition that includes an elite of leading local and international companies in supplying dental equipment, technologies, and supplies in Qatar. The exhibition provides participants with the opportunity to view the latest technological innovations, digital technologies, and modern materials used in dental clinics and laboratories, making it an integrated platform for direct interaction between doctors and manufacturers and developers of dental technology, to be the most prominent and interactive medical event for every practicing dentist who aspires to develop their tools and clinical decisions in the dental sector.
