The Narcotics Control Department at the Public Security Directorate continued its intensified campaign against the Crystal substance, dealing with 119 cases in various governorates of the Kingdom during the eighth week of the campaign.
The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate said on Sunday that the cases included 29 cases of trafficking and promotion of Crystal, and 90 cases of use.
He added that the Narcotics Control Department arrested 55 dealers and promoters during the trafficking and promotion cases, while 135 users were arrested in the use cases, bringing the total number of detainees to 190 people.
He pointed out that 0.293 kg of Crystal was seized from the detainees.
The spokesperson confirmed that the campaign continues with determination and without any leniency, until its objectives are achieved in raising awareness of the dangers of this substance, and pursuing anyone who tries to deal with it, due to the risks it poses to users, and what it may lead to in committing crimes that threaten society and the safety of its members.
