In a speech delivered at the ceremony, Dr. Mutaz Aazar, the founder of Dhi'aa Company, welcomed Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya, expressing his deep gratitude and appreciation for her continuous support since 2007 in sponsoring the annual competition, praising her great interest in the education sector and her ongoing commitment to supporting students in various sectors, from schools to universities.
The competitions included the visual competition, in which students challenged themselves to solve 200 questions in 8 minutes, as well as the auditory competition and the flash competition, where participants demonstrated outstanding levels of concentration, speed, accuracy, and mental abilities.
At the end of the competitions, the names of the Jordan champions of the visual competition for the year 2026 were announced, namely: Rital Muhammad Muqaddam in the first level, Alina Firas Issa in the second level, Sdeen Ala'a Al-Din Shatiyeh in the third level, Jana Muhammad Al-Zawahira in the fourth level, Aisha Abdullah Al-Madani in the fifth level, Yousef Fadi Hilal in the sixth level, Kareem Marwan Al-Sharqawi in the seventh level, Sarah Abdullah Al-Qassas in the eighth level, and Jawri Walid Najm in the open level, while Lamees Yousef Al-Hindi won first place in the auditory competition, and Maria Osama Muhammad in the flash competition.
The winners of the national competition have the opportunity to represent Jordan in the international version of the UCMAS program, which will be held this year in Sri Lanka, where the champions will undergo an intensive training camp in preparation for the international competitions.
It is worth noting that UCMAS is a global program for developing the mental abilities of children aged 5 to 13 years, relying on the use of the manual abacus as a training tool to develop thinking, concentration, memory, creativity, and problem-solving skills, contributing to enhancing children's mental abilities and supporting their academic performance and personal and social development.
The program is present in more than 80 countries around the world, continuing to develop children's skills and mental abilities.
