The Jordanian Engineers Association opened an architectural and art exhibition titled "Creative Angles," featuring the participation of a number of architects and architecture students from various universities. The opening was attended by the Head of the Architectural Engineering Branch, Engineer Imad Al-Dabbas; architect and artist Mohammad Dghlais; Head of the Social and Communication Committee, Engineer Ziad Abu Hazeem; committee member Engineer Sarah Abu Gharbiyeh; and Secretary of the Architectural Branch, Engineer Mazen Al-Nabulsi.
In his opening speech, Engineer Al-Dabbas welcomed the attendees and exhibition participants, praising the exceptional works featured in the exhibition.
He noted that the Social and Communication Committee, headed by Engineer Ziad Abu Hazeem and with the participation of its members, made exceptional efforts in organizing this creative exhibition.
Al-Dabbas added that the participants represent a segment of architects in Jordan who possess artistic touches and creative passion, affirming that the association will continue to support such exhibitions for the talents they harbor among male and female architects in various creative fields, not limited to painting alone but extending to music and other arts. He pointed out that choosing the specialty of architecture is often linked to a true passion for those who study it, and this passion later manifests in diverse creative works, including fabric and leather designs, alongside painting and other arts.
He pointed out that his tour of the exhibition showed that a large portion of the participants are architecture students currently in university, considering this a reflection of motivation and creativity that begins for the architecture student during their university studies and continues with them after graduation and joining the ranks of engineers.
For his part, architect and artist Mohammad Dghlais praised the displayed paintings and the importance of such activities, emphasizing that art is a necessity rather than a luxury, and that it contributes to refining the human soul, considering architecture a true witness to human evolution across the ages.
Engineer Ziad Abu Hazeem explained that architecture and art always lead to creativity, stating that the exhibited works go beyond the boundaries of traditional plans and spatial designs, and that an architect does not merely design a space or draw a building, but rather draws a way of life and designs the experience lived within the place.
He added that every corner in the exhibition expresses a different meaning, between the angle of light, the angle of work, and the angle of creativity, expressing his pride in what was displayed and considering this exhibition a beginning for similar exhibitions in the future that reflect the human and social aspect of the committee's work within the association.
The exhibition featured a collection of distinguished artistic and architectural works created by male and female engineers and students from architecture faculties. The event included a tour during which attendees viewed the displayed paintings and products, and concluded with honoring the guest of honor and all participants.
