Israeli occupation forces withdrew from the town of Anata and Shuafat camp, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, after a raid that lasted for about 24 hours, according to Al-Mamlaka's correspondent on Wednesday.
The Israeli occupation forces had imposed a tight siege on the town and the camp since dawn on Tuesday, with widespread military deployment, closure of roads and entrances, and restrictions on the movement of residents, coinciding with raids on homes and shops and the arrest of Palestinians.
According to the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA), the siege and curfew led to the suspension of schools and kindergartens and the closure of shops, causing widespread paralysis in daily life in the area.
The Jerusalem Governorate stated that the occupation forces carried out a large-scale arrest campaign, while Palestinian sources estimated the number of Palestinians detained or arrested since the start of the campaign at about 100 people, including one woman.
The occupation forces also raided dozens of homes in Anata and Shuafat camp, subjecting their residents to searches and field interrogations, while storming shops and private facilities, causing damage to some of them, and seizing a number of Palestinian vehicles.
