Ministry of Youth clarifies mechanism for distributing prizes in youth centers' futsal championship

The Ministry of Youth followed up on the content circulating across social media regarding a participant in the youth centers' futsal championship receiving the amount of 18 dinars after his team won third place at the governorate level

The Ministry of Youth clarifies that the youth centers' futsal championship witnessed the participation of (658) teams representing (55) districts across various governorates of the Kingdom, reflecting the broad youth participation in the championship, which aims to discover talents, promote sports participation, and instill the values of teamwork and fair competition.

Regarding financial prizes, the amounts specified in the instructions represent the share of each player and administrator from the team's prize earned through competition, and are distributed equally among the team members numbering (12) players and administrators, according to the approved lists. Accordingly, the amount of (20) dinars for third place at the governorate level is each member's share, while the total team prize is (240) dinars, and this prize is awarded to two teams for achieving third place and joint third place.

Prizes in each governorate amount to (2,040) dinars for the first place team, (1,020) dinars for the second place team, and (240) dinars for each of the two teams achieving third place and joint third place, bringing the total prizes to (3,540) dinars for each governorate, and a total of (42,480) dinars for the twelve governorates.

As for the final round at the Kingdom level, the prize for the first place team is (5,040) dinars, the second is (3,000) dinars, the third is (1,020) dinars, and the joint third is (480) dinars, with a total of (9,540) dinars for the rank prizes. The final round prizes also include (600) dinars for the ideal team, (480) dinars for the best voluntary work, (150) dinars for the tournament top scorer, and (150) dinars for the best goalkeeper, bringing the total final round prizes to (10,920) dinars, and the total financial prizes for both the governorates and finals stages reaches (53,400).

The total amount is distributed among the team members given that the participating teams do not have a legal personality for the total amount to be presented to a representative for them

The Ministry affirms that the instructions regulating the championship, including the prize values and their distribution mechanism, are the exact ones applied in three previous tournaments, the latest of which was the tournament held during the month of Ramadan, and no changes have occurred to them, and they were known to all participants based on their application in previous editions.

The Ministry appreciates the participants' remarks and interest, and affirms that the financial prizes come within broader objectives of the tournament, including expanding participation opportunities, promoting sportsmanship, and linking sports to voluntary work and community service
