Argentine star Lionel Messi has reached an agreement to purchase the Spanish club Eldense, which competes in the second division, in a new move that strengthens his investment projects in football.
According to the newspaper Marca, Eldense will be the second Spanish club acquired by Messi during 2026, following his purchase of the fifth-division club UE Cornellà last April and the acquisition of all its shares.
Messi's investments are not limited to Spain, as he also owns a stake in the Uruguayan club Deportivo LSM in partnership with his friend Luis Suárez.
The purchase of Eldense, which has a history spanning more than a century, comes as Messi continues his career with Inter Miami under a contract that runs until 2028. This move reflects his growing connection to Spanish football.
