Makan Foundation launches the Makan Academy for Citizenship and Political Empowerment

The Makan Foundation for Sustainable Community Development has launched the Makan Academy for Citizenship and Political Empowerment, with the participation of a group of youth, as part of a progressive training track aimed at developing their capabilities and enhancing their knowledge and skills in the fields of citizenship and political empowerment.

The first training day witnessed the launch of a series of theoretical and practical training sessions, relying on a non-formal learning methodology that places participants at the heart of the educational process, combining knowledge, practice, and interaction.

The academy also focuses on peer learning and the exchange of experiences among participants, allowing youth to learn from each other's experiences, develop their abilities for dialogue and teamwork, express their ideas, and transform acquired knowledge into practical practices.

The Director of Programs and Youth Work at the Makan Foundation for Sustainable Development, Mohammad Hamadat, said that the Makan Academy for Citizenship and Political Empowerment stems from the foundation's belief that political empowerment of youth.

is achieved by building their ability to understand their surroundings, form their positions consciously, express them, and transform their ideas into initiatives and issues open to discussion and action.

The academy will continue over the coming days within a cumulative track that moves participants from building knowledge to developing skills, ultimately leading to the application of what they have learned to real-world issues related to citizenship and political work.
