The world is witnessing a rapid technological transformation that has reshaped the roles of higher education institutions. Universities are no longer limited to teaching and preparing graduates; they have become centers for knowledge production, innovation development, and expertise transfer through digital environments. In Jordan, this transformation imposes on universities a responsibility that goes beyond keeping up with technological development, to include employing technology in the service of society, enhancing the national identity, and establishing the status of Jordanian knowledge in the digital space, making it a key partner in building and developing the national narrative.
The Jordanian national narrative is based on the history of the state, its achievements, values, and the experiences of its society. It is not a fixed story, but a knowledge construct that is constantly renewed through scientific research, documentation, and analysis. In the age of technological transformation, universities emerge as the most capable environment for producing this knowledge content, through scientific studies, documenting national experiences, and analyzing economic, social, and cultural transformations, ensuring the presentation of a narrative based on knowledge and evidence, and keeping pace with local and global changes.
