Jordanian presence in the Kings League quarter-finals

The ninth and final round (Split 1) of the "Kings League MENA" tournament concluded at the Green Arena in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

The 3BS and Turbo teams secured the final two qualifying spots for the quarter-finals, surpassing ABO FC and Rising Peaks in the overall standings on a final day full of excitement and events for the league stage. Additionally, DR7, RA2, and Red Zone officially confirmed their presence in the same round, strengthening the Jordanian presence in the upcoming stage.

The round's results determined the quarter-final matchups to be held tomorrow, where Red Zone will face RA2, Turbo will take on Ultra Chmicha, and DR7 will clash with 3BS. It is noteworthy that the FWZ team had already secured its spot directly in the semi-finals by finishing the league stage at the top of the overall standings.

The Saudi team RA2 secured its spot with a major 7-2 victory over the Qatari team ABO FC. RA2 continued its winning streak, which has extended since the sixth round, sending an early warning signal when its goalkeeper, Eloy Amoedo, opened the scoring in the second minute of the match. RA2 reinforced its lead with three brilliant goals signed by Hossam Taha, David Reyes, and Nawaf Saleh, widening the gap by halftime. In the decisive moments, the team's top scorer and two-time Man of the Match (MVP) winner, Marc Sorroche, sealed the game by scoring a penalty kick, then netting the decisive goal during the Matchball Mode.

In another matchup, the Egyptian team Turbo achieved a 4-2 victory over Morocco's Bakhira FC. The losing team, led by Achraf Sabiri and Younes Zarou, suffered a disastrous start as their player Luis "Bolt" Henrique was sent off in the opening seconds following a foul against his opponent in a 1v1 challenge. Despite being a man down, Bakhira FC held firm and remained in contention thanks to the brilliance of Mehdi Kassem, who scored a penalty and a goal in the shoot-out. The match also saw Tarbon execute his team's President's penalty. Both teams entered the Matchball stage, raising the excitement level in search of the golden goal, which came through team star Youssef El Nebrawi, who had already scored in the 23rd minute, returning to score the winner. This result confirmed Turbo's qualification, while Bakhira exited the competition with another defeat, having already been eliminated in the eighth round.

For its part, the Jordanian team 3BS defeated DR7 (which had already secured its qualification) via a penalty shoot-out after a breathless encounter that ended in a 4-4 draw in the 36th minute. The match started at a frantic pace, seeing three goals scored in the first minute alone, with 3BS taking a 2-1 lead. French star Moussa Sow, the 3BS striker, stole the spotlight in the shoot-out by scoring the decisive winning goal, giving his team a chance to fight for qualification.

The 3BS team's victory was not enough to guarantee direct qualification, as a win for Rising Peaks over the Jordanian team Red Zone in the following match would have been enough to grant them the spot. However, Red Zone eliminated Rising Peaks, and at the same time, ensured the qualification of the other Jordanian side, 3BS, to the quarter-finals. The match saw both teams successfully convert a penalty, with Abdullah Al-Drees succeeding for Peaks, while Ali Mousa scored his own, his seventh in the tournament, for Red Zone.

Ultra Chmicha and FWZ traded the lead several times before the Moroccan team, led by Ilyass Elmaliki, settled the result in its favor. Ultra Chmicha succeeded in taking the lead by scoring a "double goal" in the 33rd minute, and another goal that allowed it to enter the Matchball Mode with a 7-4 lead. Despite the attempts of the leaders FWZ to narrow the gap with two goals, Walid Jaddi ended the match with a decisive goal in the 41st minute. Ultra Chmicha climbed to third place, while FWZ remained at the top.
