Jordan will be present with 13 male and female athletes representing 8 different sports, which is the highest number of sports in the history of Jordanian participation, while the number of athletes equals the record set in the Buenos Aires edition in 2018.
The sports in which Jordan will participate include taekwondo, boxing, swimming, beach wrestling, athletics, fencing, triathlon, and judo, as this participation comes based on Jordan's excellence in these sports, and its athletes meeting the pre-determined qualification and selection criteria for participation in the games.
The national taekwondo team is represented by four male and female athletes: Layan Al-Rawashdeh, Zainab Baseela, Abdullah Al-Zawahreh, and Ahmed Al-Dahamsha, under the supervision of Technical Director Fares Al-Assaf and coach Mohammed Al-Assaf.
In boxing competitions, Jordan is represented by athlete Abdullah Tugoze and athlete Tala Hussein, under the supervision of coach Omar Al-Majali.

The silver medal was won by athlete Dana Haidar in the first edition hosted by Singapore in 2010, which also saw athlete Yazan Al-Sadiq crowned with a bronze medal, while athlete Zaid Mustafa won the third bronze medal for Jordan in the Buenos Aires edition in 2018.
The fourth edition of the Youth Olympic Games was scheduled to be held in 2022, before being postponed to 2026 due to the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
