Jordan MMA Week fighters continue their preparations for the bouts

The Dead Sea Corniche witnessed open training sessions today, Wednesday, for the Jordan MMA Week fighters, as part of the preparations for the bouts scheduled for next Friday at the Roman Amphitheater, with the participation of Jordanian fighters and professionals from various countries.

A number of participating fighters spoke to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) about their preparations for the upcoming bouts, emphasizing the importance of participating in the event, which serves as an opportunity to showcase the fighters' abilities and introduce Jordan to an international audience.

Jordanian fighter Yazan Belawi said that representing Jordan is a great honor and responsibility, confirming his determination to give his best in the upcoming bout, despite the difficulty of the opponent and the intensity of the confrontation, to highlight the capabilities and technical level of the Jordanian fighter.

In turn, professional American fighter Andrew Sanchez added that he looks forward to giving his best and achieving victory, noting his pursuit of a strong confrontation against his opponent.

He expressed his happiness at the event being held in Jordan, which he is visiting for the first time, praising the beauty of the Kingdom, its people, and its atmosphere, as well as the security and warm hospitality he experienced, in addition to the opportunity to learn about Jordan's history and culture.

For his part, Jordanian referee Yazan Ghattas emphasized the importance of Jordan hosting mixed martial arts events, as it provides an opportunity to develop the sport and showcase the capabilities of Jordanian and Arab fighters to an international audience.

He pointed to the importance of exchanging technical and officiating expertise in developing the sport, especially since he is the first referee in the Middle East to receive a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which has enhanced his technical experience in managing bouts, including those of the Desert Force organization.

Jordan MMA Week activities continue tomorrow, Thursday, with the weigh-in ceremony and face-offs between the fighters at the Citadel, while the fight night will take place on Friday at the Roman Amphitheater, starting at 5:00 PM.
