Irbid Youth Directorate implements awareness and environmental activities and enhances community participation

The youth centers affiliated with the Irbid Governorate Youth Directorate implemented, on Tuesday, a series of awareness, environmental, and community activities, in cooperation with educational, community, and specialized institutions, aimed at promoting health, traffic, and environmental awareness, and spreading the culture of voluntary work and community responsibility.

Within the framework of health awareness, the integrated Beit Ras Youth and Young Women Center participated in an awareness activity organized by the Beit Ras Basic School for Girls on the occasion of Pink October, to introduce the importance of periodic examinations and early detection of breast cancer, and to emphasize the necessity of obtaining health information from reliable sources. Furthermore, the integrated Sheikh Hussein Youth Center, in cooperation with the Generous Hands Association, implemented an awareness session entitled «Pink October», with the participation of 40 women from the Kareema area in the Northern Jordan Valley district, addressing the importance of prevention and early detection, and the changes that require consulting specialized medical authorities.

In the field of traffic awareness, the integrated Beit Ras Youth and Young Women Center, in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate and the Traffic Institute, implemented an awareness lecture with the participation of 20 young men and women, addressing traffic rules, public safety requirements, the dangers of speeding, and the importance of adhering to traffic signs and signals. Additionally, the integrated Kafr الماء Youth and Young Women Center, in cooperation with the Modern Ibn Manzoor Educational School, implemented an awareness workshop entitled «Traffic Monitoring», with the participation of 40 young men and women, presented by Captain Khaled Bani Abdulرحمن, which focused on adhering to traffic rules, specified speeds, and seat belt use, and reducing traffic accidents and violations.

On the environmental side, the Northern Mazar Youth and Young Women Centers implemented the third campaign among the weekly cleanliness campaigns for the month of October, in the square of the Northern Mazar Municipality, as part of the strategy program to reduce the phenomenon of random littering, under the patronage of the Northern Mazar District Governor, Dr. Mohammed Al-Rifaei, in the presence of directorate managers in the district, and with the participation of teachers and 40 female students from Khadija bint Khuwaylid Basic School. The campaign included collecting waste, particularly plastic debris, and disposing of it in designated containers, thereby enhancing environmental awareness and instilling a culture of voluntary work and maintaining the cleanliness of public places.

These activities come within the framework of the Ministry of Youth's efforts to enhance the role of youth centers in serving the local community, expand partnership with educational, community, and specialized institutions, spread health, traffic, and environmental awareness, and motivate youth and community members to actively participate in voluntary initiatives.
