The Chairman of the Irbid Chamber of Industry, Hani Abu Hassan, and members of the Chamber's Board of Directors, discussed at the Chamber's headquarters with a delegation from the Jordanian-Syrian Business Council, headed by Dr. Imad Adnan Al-Nann, ways to enhance economic cooperation and expand investment and commercial partnerships between the two countries.
During the meeting, Abu Hassan emphasized the importance of strengthening economic relations between Jordan and Syria, and expanding the horizons of cooperation between the industrial and commercial sectors, in a way that contributes to increasing trade exchange, exchanging industrial expertise and knowledge, and opening new markets for national products, in addition to encouraging investments and joint projects.
Abu Hassan also stressed the vital role that the Jordanian-Syrian Business Council can play in enhancing communication between businessmen and industrialists, identifying available commercial and investment opportunities, encouraging the establishment of industrial partnerships, and organizing bilateral meetings and mutual visits to facilities, in a way that supports the competitiveness of the industrial sector in both countries.
For his part, the Business Council delegation affirmed its keenness to enhance economic and industrial cooperation, work to consolidate partnerships between the business communities, and contribute to overcoming the obstacles facing trade movement, especially the logistical challenges related to transport and the flow of goods through border crossings in coordination with the concerned authorities.
The two sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination and communication, and intensifying efforts to activate joint cooperation opportunities and transform them into practical initiatives and projects that serve the interests of both sectors and support economic growth in the two brotherly countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairman and members of the Jordanian-Syrian Business Council delegation offered congratulations and blessings to the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Irbid Chamber of Industry on the occasion of their victory in the Chamber's elections for the new term, wishing them success in serving the industrial sector.
