Investing in Opportunities... Investing in Jordan's Future

The importance of investment lies in its ability to mobilize a broader system of businesses; the entry of new investments into the market or the expansion of existing companies generates new needs for competencies and expertise, and opens up fields for work for various specializations, in addition to the movement it provides to suppliers, service providers, local companies, and supporting sectors. Therefore, attracting high-quality local and international investments contributes to expanding the scope of business, building value that extends to different sectors, and providing broader professional paths for youth.

Attracting these investments requires modern business environments that provide companies with the necessary requirements for establishment, stability, and expansion. Local and international companies seek destinations that combine advanced infrastructure and business support services, and keep pace with global standards and practices. Developing such environments enhances Jordan's ability to attract companies and investments that seek a destination that supports their development and sustainability in the long term.

From our experience in Al Abdali, we have felt the importance of this type of environment in attracting businesses and investments from various sectors, and providing a space that helps companies establish and develop their businesses. With the diversity of businesses, expertise, and specializations that have gathered there, a system has formed that has provided broader fields for Jordanian competencies to work and develop professionally. The importance of this experience, from my perspective, lies in what it confirms about the connection between the quality of the investment environment and the opportunities and economic value that can arise around it.

Therefore, the importance of encouraging the development of more investment environments in various regions of the Kingdom becomes clear, in line with the strengths of each region and the promising sectors within it. Developing them on a broader scale can encourage companies to establish new businesses and expand into different regions, and open up broader fields for youth to work in their governorates, thereby expanding the circle of economic participation and allowing more communities to benefit from investment and business activity.

At the same time, employment challenges remain more complex than can be addressed by a single path; investment is part of a broader system that requires the integration of efforts between the public and private sectors, aligning education and training with labor market needs, and supporting entrepreneurship and business development. The integration of these efforts is what can lead to an economy that is more capable of providing diverse paths for youth and benefiting from their competencies.

I believe that Jordan has the potential in its youth to build a stronger and more sustainable economic future. Our responsibility is to continue to provide an environment that gives them space to work and develop, and to attract quality investments that open up new horizons for them and contribute to building an economy capable of keeping pace with their aspirations. When ambition finds the right opportunity, the potential of youth turns into real value that drives Jordan forward.
