In a new step to enhance Jordan's presence on the global tourism map and open new tourist markets for the Jordanian tourism product, the Jordanian Association for Inbound Tourism organized on Monday, 2026, a promotional tourism event (Roadshow) in the Uzbek capital Tashkent, with the participation of 25 inbound tourism companies and Jordanian hotels, and the attendance and participation of about 110 Uzbek tourism companies.

This meeting was organized on the sidelines of the launch of the direct air route between Amman and Tashkent by Royal Jordanian, which represents an important opportunity to enhance tourist movement between the two countries and open new horizons for Uzbek tourism to Jordan, and enhance cooperation opportunities between the tourism sector in the two countries.

The Jordanian delegation was headed by Nidal Bani Issa, the official spokesperson of the Association and a member of its Board of Directors, while the Executive Director of the Association, Lama Mahadeen, organized and followed up the Roadshow activities, and presented a comprehensive introductory presentation about Jordan as a tourist destination, and the diversity of the Jordanian tourism product, in addition to introducing the Jordanian Association for Inbound Tourism, its members, and its role in promoting the Kingdom in global markets.

The meeting also included presentations from Royal Jordanian and the Tourism Development Authority, which addressed cooperation opportunities, services, and programs available to the Uzbek market, and highlighted the most prominent Jordanian tourist attractions and products that can be marketed to Uzbek visitors.

The meeting was opened with a welcoming speech by His Excellency the Jordanian Ambassador to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Dima Haddad, who welcomed the attendees and participants, emphasizing the importance of such direct meetings in promoting Jordan as a tourist destination and enhancing communication and cooperation between the Jordanian and Uzbek tourism sectors.

The ambassador pointed to the importance of the Uzbek market as a promising tourism market, and the great opportunities it provides to increase the number of visitors to Jordan, especially in light of the direct air route between the two countries, expressing his appreciation for the Jordanian Association for Inbound Tourism for this initiative and good organization, and for its efforts to open direct communication channels with Uzbek tourism companies.

The event witnessed direct professional meetings (B2B) between Jordanian and Uzbek companies and hotels, where Jordanian tourism programs and packages were reviewed and cooperation and partnership opportunities and the development of joint tourism programs were discussed, which contributes to turning interest in the Uzbek market into actual tourist movement towards the Kingdom.

The Jordanian Association for Inbound Tourism extends its thanks and appreciation to Royal Jordanian, the Tourism Development Authority, and the Jordanian Embassy in Uzbekistan for their support and active participation in the success of this event, affirming that the success of this initiative reflects the importance of the integration of efforts of the private sector, official bodies, and air transport partners in marketing Jordan and opening new tourism markets.

The Association confirmed that the Uzbek market represents an important opportunity for the Jordanian tourism sector, and that it will continue to work to enhance the presence of its members in global markets, through organizing professional meetings and Roadshows and direct linkage with global tourism companies, with the aim of increasing demand for Jordan and attracting more tourists from promising markets.
