National coach Ahmed Hayel headed to Syria yesterday in preparation for assuming the technical management duties of the Syrian football team Al-Wahda, in a new step within his coaching career outside Jordan.
Hayel told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that he would head to Syria today, Wednesday, to commence his coaching duties, expressing his aspiration to lead the team and achieve results that meet the ambitions of its management and fans during the coming phase.
Hayel previously coached the national U-23 team, which he led to the West Asia Championship title in 2021. He also served as assistant coach of the senior national team, and managed Al-Faisaly and Al-Hussein clubs.
