Harry Kane responded to Lamine Yamal's statements regarding the Ballon d'Or race, affirming that he does not prefer to talk about himself or promote his achievements, but at the same time, he believes he had an exceptional season and has a real chance to win the award.
The Bayern Munich striker said he scored 73 goals last season, considering what he achieved to be one of the best performances, but he leaves the decision to the voters.
He added that winning the Ballon d'Or would be wonderful and a great source of pride for him.
Yamal had indicated that the award should go to the best player, not necessarily to the one who scores the most goals, in statements interpreted as criticism of Kane's nomination.
The winner is scheduled to be announced next month in London.
