((Balqa Youth)) Hosts the Hussein Award for Voluntary Work

The Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Work Unit in the Ministry of Youth conducted its second field visit to the Balqa Governorate Youth Directorate, as part of the preparations for launching the registration link for the fourth cycle of the award. This step was a key milestone in the process of introducing the award and enhancing its presence among the target groups and partner agencies. This visit comes within an integrated strategic plan aimed at entrenching the culture of institutional volunteerism, expanding the base of youth and community participation, reflecting the Ministry's vision to make volunteering an integral part of the national development system.

The event was held at the Social Innovation Incubator Hall at the Balqa Model Youth and Girls Center, in the presence of the Balqa Youth Director, Ahmed Al-Hadidi, and representatives of the Health, Endowments, and Labor directorates in the governorate, in addition to a number of stakeholders and interested parties. This attendance reflected the official and community interest in the award, and the desire of institutions to support its journey by providing guidance and support to those wishing to participate, ensuring that its message reaches various segments and groups.

The visit included an introductory and training session supervised by the award's liaison officer, which covered multiple topics, including the award's objectives, categories, fields, participation conditions, and the mechanism for applying for the fourth cycle, in addition to reviewing the adopted evaluation criteria, with an emphasis on the importance of voluntary initiatives based on quality, sustainability, and community impact. A detailed explanation was also provided on the electronic registration procedures and steps for entering the required applications and data, enabling partner agencies to assist applicants and facilitate the completion of the registration process upon the launch of the link, enhancing the opportunities for broader and more organized participation.

This second field visit by the award ambassadors comes in the context of preparing partner agencies and enhancing their readiness to introduce the fourth cycle, and unifying the information related to participation mechanisms, ensuring the reception of applications in an organized and effective manner. This step also reflects the Ministry of Youth's keenness to involve various institutions in supporting volunteer work, affirming the role of the award ambassadors in conveying its message to the local community, contributing to motivating youth to engage in sustainable impact volunteer initiatives, reinforcing the values of giving and national belonging, and highlighting Jordan as a nurturing environment for youth and humanitarian initiatives.
