Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong condemned on Monday the "unacceptable" attacks launched by the Iran-backed Houthis on civilians in Saudi Arabia, advising Australian citizens not to travel through King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
The minister said on the X platform, "Australia condemns the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, including those that targeted Riyadh Airport and claimed the lives of a large number of innocents."
