The health week events will continue from Sunday, September 20, to Thursday, September 24, 2026, according to a comprehensive medical and educational program targeting school students, with the participation of the university's medical and academic staff and students from various health specialties.
The university's participation included implementing a package of health and awareness activities, most notably specialized educational lectures on oral health and proper nutrition, aiming to enhance students' health awareness and instill healthy behaviors and habits.
The events also included training students in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills through practical applications that contribute to raising the level of readiness and quick response to emergency cases, in addition to conducting medical and clinical examinations that included vision and dental examinations, and measuring height, weight, and growth indicators among the targeted students.
This participation reflects Aqaba University of Medical Sciences' keenness to translate its national and community responsibility into tangible field programs and enhance the concept of prevention before treatment and early detection, contributing to supporting students' health and raising the level of health awareness within the school environment.
Through this initiative, the university emphasizes the importance of integrating efforts between academic, health, and educational institutions to serve students and the local community and promote a sustainable health culture in Aqaba Governorate.
