The match comes 5 days before the start of the continental tournament, and within the preparatory program for the Al-Nashama team, led by Moroccan coach Badou Zaki, to complete technical and physical preparations before competing in the group stage.
The Jordan Football Association had announced the national team's preparation plan, which includes a series of friendly matches against teams from Asia and South America, in addition to a final training camp in late December preceding participation in the finals.
As part of the preparatory program, Al-Nashama will meet the Indonesian national team on Friday, November 13, at Amman International Stadium, before facing the Australian national team on Tuesday, the 17th of the same month, at the same stadium during the international break.
The national team previously played two friendly matches in Amman as part of its preparations for the tournament, drawing 1-1 in the first against the Syrian national team on September 27 at King Abdullah II Stadium, with Ali Olwan scoring Jordan's goal, before drawing goalless with the Venezuelan national team on October 6 at the same stadium.
The national team, runner-up of the last edition of the Asian Cup, continues its preparations for participating in the upcoming edition, after the draw placed it in Group B alongside the teams of Uzbekistan, Bahrain, and North Korea.
Al-Nashama will begin their journey in the tournament by facing Uzbekistan on Friday, January 8, at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, before facing Bahrain on Wednesday, January 13, at the same stadium, and then concluding their group stage matches against North Korea on Sunday, January 17, at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University Stadium in Riyadh.
The 2027 Asian Cup finals will be held in Saudi Arabia from January 7 to February 5, with the participation of the national team, which seeks to build on its achievement in the last edition after reaching the final match for the first time in its history.
