The Al-Faisaly football team hosts its Omani counterpart, Al-Nahda, at 9:15 PM tomorrow, Wednesday, at the Amman International Stadium, as part of the second round of Group C in the AFC Champions League 2, in a match where Al-Faisaly looks to achieve a positive result and boost its chances of competing for one of the qualifying spots from the group.
Al-Faisaly enters the match after stumbling against Qatar's Al-Rayyan with a score of 3-4 in the match that brought them together in Qatar during the first round, while Oman's Al-Nahda drew with Saudi Arabia's Al-Taawoun 1-1, which gives Wednesday's match importance in the early competition calculations among the group teams, which also includes Al-Taawoun and Al-Rayyan.
Al-Faisaly relies on the home advantage and the fans to achieve a positive result and continue competing in the continental tournament, drawing on its experience in Asian participations, most notably its crowning with the AFC Cup title in 2005 and 2006, while Al-Nahda seeks to come out with a result that strengthens its position in the group.
