Al-Adwan: The Youth File is a National Priority and a Key Pillar in Modernization Paths

Minister of Youth Raed Al-Adwan confirmed that the youth file receives constant royal attention and forms a national priority and a key pillar in political, economic, and administrative modernization paths.

During his meeting on Tuesday with ambassadors of donor countries and representatives of United Nations organizations working with youth, Al-Adwan explained that the National Youth Strategy 2026–2030 represents a shared national framework for youth work, and a reference for the government and partners to direct policies, programs, and resources towards youth priorities, according to an executive program based on measurable results and indicators.

During the meeting to discuss partnerships related to the implementation of the National Youth Strategy for the years 2026–2030, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, Omar Al-Fanek, Minister Al-Adwan reviewed the methodology for preparing the strategy, which was based on the National Youth Survey 2025, which included more than 12,000 young men and women from various governorates of the Kingdom, in addition to consultative sessions participated by more than 10,000 young men and women, and sectoral consultations with ministries, official institutions, the private sector, educational institutions, civil society, and international partners.

He pointed out that the Ministry has started during the current year to implement central programs that align with the strategy's axes, alongside an integrated plan to activate youth centers by developing their infrastructure, building the capacities of those working with youth, and developing the programs provided to them, thereby enhancing their role as national platforms to reach youth and meet their needs and aspirations.

Al-Adwan emphasized that the strategy is not just a policy document, but is linked to an executive program that forms the basis for implementing projects and integrating the efforts of the government, partners, and resources, calling for the transition from scattered initiatives to integrated programs based on the strategy's priorities, building on previous achievements and investments, to ensure the avoidance of duplication, maximizing impact, and sustainability of results.

He valued the partnership with embassies of countries, United Nations agencies, and international organizations in supporting youth programs and projects, affirming the Ministry's openness to all institutions working in the youth sector to enhance youth empowerment and participation.

For his part, Al-Fanek explained the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation's keenness to enhance joint work between countries and international organizations and direct support to youth projects to ensure the integration of efforts and align with cooperation agreements concluded between Jordan and its partners in the field of youth.

Ambassadors and representatives of countries and international organizations expressed their support for the preparation of the strategy, praising its methodology based on the national survey, youth participation, and consultation with various parties.

They emphasized the importance of adopting it as a common reference for coordinating programs, projects, and investments directed towards youth, and enhancing their opportunities for learning, work, participation, and innovation, and achieving a measurable and sustainable impact.
