Opinion polls are important; they give decision-makers and the government an opportunity to know their standing and, consequently, to act in a way that aligns with their convictions, because opinion poll results often vary over time and are undoubtedly changeable.
Poll results cannot be ignored; they are undoubtedly an indicator, and wisdom dictates taking them into account. When public opinion agrees that economic conditions are bad, good, or that things are moving in the right direction, then they are. When it says there is an urgent need for immediate solutions that reflect on people's livelihoods, it is a correct statement. And when it sees that strategic projects are important in the long and medium term, it is right, but the most important thing is immediate solutions and projects. The problem is that the government is actually trying to do all of this and does not hesitate to pledge it, yet from the public's point of view, this is not enough.
The Prime Minister is not required to be a magician who blows to change everything, nor is he required to seek popularity; he is not the leader of a political party, and he was not brought in by ballot boxes. Rather, what is required of him is to gain satisfaction—not for his person, but for his ability to make decisions that achieve solutions, including the services his government provides to the citizen, and his ability to create positive change in the citizen's living conditions.
Prime Minister Hassan has prioritized within the limits of the modernization plan and exceeded them in the matter of basic services. He knows the limits of possibilities; for him, the hand is not short, and the eye must be insightful. The important thing is to work within the limits of possibilities, which I believe are available.
There is no doubt that launching major projects and starting work on them has a significant impact on people's satisfaction, a significant impact on boosting optimism, and a significant impact on strengthening confidence when it moved from plans and headlines to the field.
