We recall the names and the personality of every teacher with whom we crossed the classroom into every educational stage and into practical life. Today, we write in letters and expressions of mercy for those we have lost who have passed on to the Abode of Truth, and make reassuring phone calls to those whom it is a delight to communicate with, hear their voice, and earn their approval.
Teacher's Day is a national memory that encompasses us all to fulfill our duty toward a symbol who needs checking on, visiting, care, and honoring throughout the year. Having grown old and gray, burdened by worries, some illnesses, long hours of waiting, and numerous concerns—which I permit myself to point out, as they weigh heavily on his shoulders after retirement and require care from the ministry he served and to which he gave the best and most beautiful years of his youth.
You were, O teacher, and will remain as you are, an inspiration to those you taught and the generations you graduated who owe you a great deal of merit and dedication in the past, and who still call out: "Let us know you're doing well, our teacher?" We ask for a moment, and some of us remain in intermittent contact under the pretext of being busy.
Our school has remained as it is, and the teacher within it, through all the passing and coming years, continues to give, keep pace, and develop. Our aspirations remain to make him happy with human initiatives befitting his status, through the good upbringing of our children, their respect for the teacher, and their appreciation of him inside and outside the classroom at all times.
Thus you are, my teacher, and thus you will remain, alongside the pages of your message, an example for us in giving, upbringing, education, and a beacon by which we are guided to the right path, the journey of toil, perseverance, diligence, seeking excellence, and elevating society to the better.
Our gift to ourselves, as we recall your voice over the school radio during the morning assembly: "Take care of yourselves, and maintain your dedication and insistence to achieve what you aspire to with strength, courage, drive, and determination befitting your school and your families."
It is essential to check on the condition of yesterday's teacher, who suffers greatly from neglect, to care for today's teacher, who aspires to much and has a long list of daily life items on his agenda, and for tomorrow's teacher, who it has become clear will need numerous resources to face the future in order to prepare tomorrow's student according to a preparation notebook that everyone will see burdened by the world's worries, circumstances, and crises.
Thus you are, my teacher, and thus you will remain, standing steadfast at the door of the school of life, smiling and happy with us, moving forward with confidence and the hope that we are and will remain the best. May you always remain our teacher, a symbol and a role model, O best of instructors.
