At a moment when the world is losing its compass and vision is obscured for it, His Majesty's speech came to draw a roadmap for the world that brushes the dust off facts and calls things by their proper names, by confronting the international community and public opinion with truths they have overlooked. Most importantly, the selectivity and double standards in applying criteria, especially regarding the delivery of justice. When it comes to Israel, all standards of international justice disappear, unlike what happens with other countries, particularly in our region, where His Majesty emphasized the interconnectedness of the risks surrounding this region and their impact on international peace and stability.
Among the most important truths with which His Majesty confronted the international community is that this world has lost its ability to pay attention, especially to the acute crises it is experiencing. His Majesty emphasized that containing problems and crises does not end them, but rather exacerbates and complicates them.
In his speech before the UN General Assembly, His Majesty called things by their proper names, placed the world before the facts, diagnosed the disease and prescribed the remedy. He exposed the Zionist entity and its criminal practices, from killing civilians, arming settlers, protecting their crimes against Palestinians, to the continued land-grabbing, especially in the West Bank. His Majesty stressed that these practices are a doctrine believed in by the Zionist entity and not merely a government policy.
His Majesty also stressed the unity of what is happening in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip; they are two sides of a single cause that the world must work to resolve, in order to end the longest ongoing occupation in history.
Just as His Majesty pointed out the risks and outlined solutions, he defined Jordan's position toward them. Jordan will not stand idly by if its waters or borders are violated, and Jordan's adherence to its stance must not be interpreted as weakness. Thus, His Majesty has removed the veil of misinformation from the eyes of global public opinion, placed the world before the voice of conscience, and exposed its double standards, while affirming that Jordan is an easy morsel in no one's mouth.
