SOFEX Jordan 2026 kicks off in Aqaba on October 27

The management of the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX) Jordan announced the completion of all preparations and full readiness to launch the 15th edition of the SOFEX 2026 exhibition, scheduled to be held under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, from October 27 to 29, 2026, at the Aqaba International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

This edition marks a prominent milestone in the exhibition's development, which has established its position over the years as one of the leading global platforms for fostering cooperation, innovation, and strategic dialogue in the special operations, defense, and security equipment sector. As the only exhibition and conference in the Middle East and North Africa region specializing exclusively in special operations forces and equipment, it continues to deepen its impact by enhancing Aqaba's presence as a logistics hub and an integrated global destination.

Chairman of the SOFEX Board of Directors, retired Major General Ayman Al-Batran, affirmed that SOFEX has established its position over the years as a trusted international platform that brings together governments, armed forces, leaders of the defense and security sectors, and innovators from around the world, thereby enhancing opportunities for cooperation, exchange of expertise, and keeping pace with the rapid developments in these sectors.

Al-Batran pointed out that the successive developments in defense and security priorities at the international level make strengthening international cooperation and partnerships an increasingly important necessity, confirming that the 15th edition of the exhibition embodies SOFEX's commitment to continuing to build strategic partnerships, deepening constructive dialogue, and highlighting the latest technologies and capabilities that contribute to shaping the future of global security.

He added that the exhibition continues, through its international and regional role, to confirm Jordan's position as an active regional hub for cooperation, innovation, and the exchange of expertise in the defense and security sectors, reflecting its influential role in supporting efforts aimed at strengthening international partnerships and consolidating the foundations of constructive cooperation in facing emerging security challenges.

SOFEX 2026 is expected to witness the attendance of more than 25,000 specialized visitors, the participation of more than 400 official delegations from over 75 represented countries, and more than 350 exhibiting companies from over 35 countries, including countries participating for the first time, with a larger exhibition space than previous editions that had achieved great success.
