Public Security Director Obeidallah Al-Maaytah said on Friday that a report was received at 2:10 PM on Friday regarding a shooting incident in the village of Hamoud in the Karak District.
Al-Maaytah explained that the incident resulted in 7 deaths and 27 injuries, noting that the injured are still receiving treatment.
He affirmed that the Public Security apparatus will continue to gather information, search, and investigate with the aim of identifying the perpetrators of this terrorist act and bringing them to justice to receive their punishment, stressing that their arrest will take place in the near future.
Al-Maaytah stressed that the Public Security apparatus will strike with an iron fist anyone who attempts to compromise the security and safety of citizens.
