Jordan's eSports Team Participates in Asian Games Finals in Japan

Jordan's eSports team is preparing to participate in the 2026 Asian Games finals, held in Nagoya, Japan, representing the Kingdom in three eSports competitions: PUBG MOBILE, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), and eFootball in both Console and Mobile categories, in a participation that reflects the growing presence of Jordanian eSports on the continental and international levels.

The team's qualification for the finals came after participating in the continental qualifiers, where the Jordanian team competed in PUBG MOBILE competitions held in Vietnam and secured a spot in the finals, becoming the only Arab team to qualify in PUBG MOBILE for the 2026 Asian Games. The Jordanian team also succeeded in MLBB by qualifying for the finals after participating in the qualifiers held in Singapore.

The PUBG MOBILE team includes a selection of Jordanian players, among them Mohammad Al-Adass, a professional player for GEEKAY ESPORTS, who has a record of international achievements, including first place in the Wizzo Championship and Survival Metro Tournament 2020, second place in PUBG Mobile Star Challenge Arabia 2021, and third place in the IESF World eSports Championship in its fourteenth edition.

Layth Mahida, one of the professional PUBG MOBILE players, also participates, having achieved first place in Survival Metro Tournament 2020, second place in PUBG Mobile Star Challenge Arabia 2021, and third place in both Saudi eLeague X PMNC KSA 2026 and the IESF World eSports Championship – fourteenth edition.

The MLBB team is supported by a group of experienced competitive players, including Yazan Al-Sawairis, who achieved first place in MPL MENA Season 9, second place in the West Asia qualifiers for the 2026 Asian Games, and first place in the Esports Nations Cup 2026 qualifiers for the Middle East, North Africa, and the Horn of Africa region. Al-Sawairis also participated in international competitions, achieving ninth place in Games of the Future 2026 and twelfth place in MSC 2026.

The Jordanian MLBB team continues its presence on the global stage, having qualified for three international events: Global Esports Games 2026, Esports Nations Cup 2026, and the 2026 Asian Games, indicating the team's development and continuous presence in international competitions.

In eFootball competitions, Jordan is represented by Saif Al-Dabbagna in the Console category, a professional player for FATE Esports and the world champion in Global Esports Games 2023. Al-Dabbagna has a notable record at the Arab and international levels, with his achievements including winning the Arab Champion title three consecutive times, second place in eFootball Championship Open 2022 World Finals, Global Esports Games 2023, and Arab Esports League in 2024 and 2025, in addition to the AFC eChampions League Elite 2025 title and third place in FIFAe World Cup 2026 – Continental Championship Asia. Jordan also participates in eFootball through the Mobile category, represented by Wisam Habbashneh, who secured a spot in the FIFAe World Cup finals in Saudi Arabia after winning the Asian qualifiers in Malaysia.

This participation follows a period of intensive training and technical preparations undertaken by the national teams in preparation for the Asian Games competitions and to enhance technical readiness and competitiveness before the start of the competitions in Japan.

Jordan's participation in three eSports games, along with the multiple international events the national teams have qualified for, reflects the development of Jordanian eSports and the increasing presence of Jordanian players and teams in regional, continental, and global tournaments.

The Jordanian team aspires to deliver a competitive performance worthy of the Kingdom's name and to continue the Jordanian presence on the largest sports and eSports platforms, representing Jordan in Nagoya on the Asian stage.
