Jordan Rally nears the finish line

The Jordan Rally is nearing its finish line as the sixth and final round takes place tomorrow, Friday, from the Tel Rumman area in Jerash amid high anticipation and a competitive atmosphere expected to witness intense excitement, with a number of the most prominent Jordanian drivers and co-drivers from Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine gathering at the starting line.

The rally spans a total distance of 114.38 km, including 58.84 km of special stages. These stages are distributed across two main stages repeated twice to ensure full coverage of the route: the Salhoub stage, measuring 14.91 km, and the Tel Rumman stage, measuring 14.51 km. Each combines sharp turns and fast sections, alongside changing terrain, forcing teams to maintain high levels of concentration and adaptability.

According to the supplementary regulations for the round, administrative checks and the distribution of the route book took place yesterday at the headquarters of Jordan Motorsport, in addition to the technical inspection of participating cars at the Royal Automobile Club's training center. The competitors will scout the route today, Thursday.

The list of competitors reflects a mix of veteran names with extensive experience in local and regional rally championships, alongside young names seeking to prove their presence and achieve remarkable results.

Furthermore, the variety of participating car models adds a technical and competitive dimension to the rally, as the characteristics of each car differ in terms of engine power, drivetrain, and handling of turns and terrain.

Given the diverse geographical nature of the rally route, ranging from narrow mountain roads to fast open sections, winning relies not only on top speed, but also on precise navigation, preserving the car throughout the stages, and making the right decisions under pressure.

The race is organized by Jordan Motorsport and sponsored by Zain Jordan. The list of participants in the sixth and final round includes the following:

Sheikh Bader Al-Fayez (Jordan) and his co-driver Ata Al-Hmoud (Jordan) in a Skoda Fabia RS; Mohammad Al-Shurafa (Jordan) and his co-driver Samer Sfeir (Lebanon) in a Skoda Fabia Evo; Shaker Jwaihan (Jordan) and his co-driver Mustafa Juma (Jordan) in a Mitsubishi Evo 10; Shadi Shaban (Jordan) and his co-driver Samer Issa (Jordan) in a Mitsubishi Evo 9; Sakher Abu Jamous and his co-driver Fayez Al-Qamaz in a Mitsubishi Evo 9; Issa Abu Jamous (Jordan) and his co-driver Dawood Abu Jamous (Jordan) in a Mitsubishi Evo 10; Nancy Al-Majali (Jordan) and her co-driver Yazan Juma (Jordan) in a Mitsubishi Evo 6; Farah Zakaria (Jordan) and her co-driver Douline Schlink (Lebanon) in a Can-Am Maverick; Hashem Kalbouneh (Jordan) and his co-driver Imad Juma (Jordan) in a Subaru Impreza; Assem Aref (Jordan) and his co-driver Mousa Juhrian (Jordan) in a Subaru Impreza; Karim Badawi (Jordan) and his co-driver Waleed Shabsough (Jordan) in a Suzuki Samurai; Amir Nassif (Jordan) and his co-driver Ibrahim Shaban (Jordan) in a Mitsubishi Evo 10; and Hamadeh Odeh (Palestine) and his co-driver Zaid Abu Zaid (Jordan) in a Mitsubishi Evo 10.
