The Jordan Phosphate Mines Company recorded net profits of 315.1 million dinars by the end of the third quarter of the current year, despite the challenges imposed by geopolitical developments in the region, sharp increases in the prices of basic production inputs, and disruptions in shipping traffic and supply chains.
The company's financial data showed an increase in sales revenue by 7.9 percent, reaching 1.101 billion dinars, compared to 1.020 billion dinars during the same period last year, driven by an increase in sales volumes.
The sharp rise in raw material prices was reflected in production costs, as sulfur prices increased by 165.7 percent and ammonia by 58.4 percent, compared to the same period last year.
As a result of regional conditions, the company faced frequent interruptions in natural gas supplies during this period, forcing it to use available alternatives at additional costs to ensure the continuity of production lines and meet its obligations to customers in global markets.
As part of its efforts to control expenses, the company reduced its administrative expenses by 8 percent compared to the same period last year, continuing to implement its strategic plans aimed at enhancing productivity and rationalizing costs, in a way that preserves shareholders' rights and supports the national economy.
