Coalition forces intercept cruise missile and drone threat towards Saudi Arabia

The official spokesman for the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, announced on Monday that a threat involving drones and cruise missiles against Saudi Arabia had been detected, noting that the forces are monitoring and dealing with the threat.

In a related context, the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation extended the suspension of operational activities at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh to complete necessary procedures to verify the safety and operational readiness of the airport facilities, in coordination with the relevant authorities.

The Authority had previously announced that King Fahd International Airport in Dammam was subjected to an attack on Sunday evening, in light of what it described as the continuation of "blatant attacks" targeting civil aviation facilities in Saudi Arabia.

In another development, one person died and 12 others were injured in an attack targeting Riyadh Airport on Sunday, a day after an attack on the airport for which the Iran-aligned Yemeni Houthi group claimed responsibility, which resulted in the death of 13 people and the injury of more than 300.
