Balqa: Grants, Loans, and Support Programs Reinforce Equal Educational Opportunities

Balqa Applied University continues to reinforce its national role in making university education accessible to students and expanding enrollment opportunities, through an integrated system of grants, loans, and various forms of support, including government grants and loans, alongside different support programs, which help students overcome financial burdens and continue their academic journey.

University data shows that nearly half of the undergraduate students receive grants, loans, and various forms of government support and funding, reflecting the extent of opportunities available to students, and confirming the university's commitment to ensuring that financial circumstances do not hinder the achievement of their academic aspirations.

In the intermediate diploma programs, all students who applied for government grants and loans received the support they deserved, confirming the university's commitment to expanding the base of beneficiaries of support programs and enabling students to enroll in applied education and continue their educational journey.

The support system at Balqa Applied University is not limited to government grants and loans and various support programs, as the university also provides a student support fund and a fund for needy female students, as part of its efforts to support students and enable them to continue their studies, and to provide more inclusive and equitable educational opportunities.

President of Balqa Applied University, Professor Dr. Ahmed Fakhri Al-Ajlouni, said that the university views the availability of education and support for students as an integral part of its national and community mission, affirming that the university is constantly working to provide as many opportunities as possible for students to continue their education, and that economic circumstances should not prevent a student from achieving their academic aspirations.

Al-Ajlouni added that the system of government grants and loans and various support programs and support funds provided by the university comes within the framework of reinforcing the principle of equal opportunities and enabling students to access and continue in education, noting that the university will continue to develop support and assistance tools to serve its students and enhance their educational journey.

Al-Ajlouni pointed out that the spread of Balqa Applied University in various governorates of the Kingdom, through its colleges and educational sites, constitutes an important advantage in bringing education closer to students in different regions of the Kingdom, noting that this spread is accompanied by continuous work to develop and modernize the infrastructure and educational facilities, providing a modern university environment that meets the needs of students and the requirements of modern applied education.

He emphasized that the university does not consider the provision of study seats in isolation from providing an integrated and supportive educational environment, stressing that investment in infrastructure and facility development, alongside the expansion of support programs, grants, and loans, enhances the university's ability to fulfill its national mission, and opens the door for more students to obtain quality education close to their places of residence.

These efforts embody the vision of Balqa Applied University in opening the doors of education to everyone, providing multiple pathways that help students enroll in and continue their education, achieving their academic and professional aspirations, and enhancing the university's role as a national institution to support and empower students and provide them with the appropriate educational environment as a key priority.
