The Al-Afaq Charitable Society for Education announced the opening of registration for the second phase of the Anwar Al-Kalouti Group scholarship for technical and vocational training for the year 2026–2027, in cooperation with the National Aid Fund and Luminus Technical University College, with the aim of providing training opportunities for youth and equipping them with professional skills that help them enter the labor market.

The Secretary-General of the Society, Hamza Al-Mufalah, said in statements to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the scholarship includes 11 vocational and technical specializations, including culinary arts, hotel hospitality management, air conditioning, refrigeration and heating systems, machine operation, electric and hybrid vehicles, nail care and beauty, makeup artistry, hairstyling and basic makeup, men's barbering, skincare, and digital solutions development using artificial intelligence.

Al-Mufalah stated that the duration of the training programs ranges from four to 12 months, with 250 to 500 training hours, depending on the specialization, explaining that young men and women between the ages of 18 and 25 are eligible to apply, provided they are unable to afford the costs of study, and that a social study is conducted for each applicant to verify their eligibility for the scholarship, which is funded by Zakat funds.

It is also required for enrollment in the skincare and digital solutions development using artificial intelligence specializations to have passed the General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi) with an average of no less than 60 percent, while this is not required for the rest of the specializations, and each male or female student is entitled to benefit from the scholarship in only one specialization.

Regarding the skincare specialization, the graduate is required to train and work as an assistant for two years after obtaining the certificate to meet the requirements for obtaining a professional practice license.
