The Qatari national team will play a friendly match against its Australian counterpart on November 13, the Qatar Football Association announced on Friday.
The Qatar Football Association said in a statement on its official website that the match will be held at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium in Doha, as part of the preparations of "Al-Annabi" for the 2027 Asian Cup finals.
The continental finals will be held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from January 7 to February 5 of next year.
The draw for the 19th edition of the Asian Cup placed the Qatari national team, the title holder of the last two editions in 2019 in the UAE and 2023 in Doha, in Group F, which includes Japan, the most successful team in the tournament (four titles), Thailand, and Indonesia.
The Qatari national team is preparing to make its first appearance after the 2026 World Cup when it competes in the 27th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup, which will be hosted by Saudi Arabia from the 23rd of this month to October 6.
The Gulf Cup draw placed "Al-Annabi" in Group B alongside the UAE, Bahrain, and Yemen, while Group A included the host Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Kuwait.
