Oil prices rose on Wednesday following an attack on a refinery in Saudi Arabia, the world's largest crude oil exporter, renewing concerns about risks to supplies in the Middle East resulting from the conflict with Iran and its allied groups.
Brent crude futures rose $1.48, or 1.3%, to $115.36 a barrel by 01:40 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude also climbed $1.22, or 1.22%, to $101.12 a barrel.
The Iran-aligned Yemeni Houthi group claimed on Tuesday that it had launched a ballistic missile attack on the Ras Tanura refinery, Saudi Arabia's largest oil refinery, in an escalation of its attacks on the world's second-largest crude oil producer.
Saudi authorities have not yet confirmed whether the attack targeted the facility, which has a production capacity of 550,000 barrels per day.
