Egyptian Abdelkarim extends his contract with Barcelona

Barcelona FC has extended the contract of its young and promising Egyptian striker Hamza Abdelkarim until June 2030, the Catalan club announced on Friday.

The 18-year-old international striker, who participated with the "Pharaohs" in the 2026 World Cup, arrived in Barcelona last February on loan from his parent club, Al Ahly.

Abdelkarim played for Barcelona's youth team, scoring six goals in 11 matches, before the Catalan club exercised the purchase option last June.

Abdelkarim was Barcelona's top scorer during the pre-season, having scored four goals in five matches.

The club stated that the contract extension signing ceremony until June 2030 will be held on Tuesday in the presence of Barcelona president Joan Laporta.

The Egyptian striker made his debut in the "Blaugrana" jersey on August 31 against Rayo Vallecano, during the third round of "La Liga," in a match that ended in a 5-2 victory for Barcelona.
