The First Division League is held during the current season according to a single-stage league system, where the participating teams compete in a strong race to determine the identity of the two teams qualifying for the Professional League, in addition to determining the clubs that will leave the competition for the Second Division.

The tournament system dictates that the first and second-place finishers in the final standings will be promoted to the professional clubs' ranks for the next season, in exchange for the relegation of four clubs occupying the last positions to the Second Division, which adds double importance to every point collected from the first rounds of the competition, and confirms that the competition will be open to all possibilities until the final stages of the season.
